Anna DeForge's journey through basketball has landed her as one of the elite guards in the WNBA. Entering her 4th season with the Phoenix Mercury and 5th overall in the WNBA, Anna is one of the top shooters throughout the league wide. The Mercury's 2nd all time leading scorer(1326 pts), became a 2004 WNBA All Star, and led the league in 3-point shooting that same season. Prior to her pro career, DeForge was a two-time All American at the University of Nebraska and led her Huskers to the NCAA tournament twice.

She was selected as an elite member of the Nebraska All-Century Team and completed her stellar career as the University's 5th all time leading scorer averaging 19.2 points per game.

She honed her remarkable skills back home in Wisconsin in the small town of Niagara, where she went on to become Wisconsin's career female leading scorer for 10 years from 1994-2004. Currently, she is 2nd All-Time leading scorer in Wisconsin State History for women with 2,601 career points.

Anna has elevated her game to the level of an All Star in 2004. She is a two-time WNBA Player of the Week, and is a past MVP and two-time leading scorer of the National Women's Basketball League. She currently is second on the Phoenix Mercury all-time scoring list with 1,326 points.

Anna has dedicated her life to teaching the game of basketball. Anna and Basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman have ran basketball camps throughout the country including Wisconsin, Detroit, Dallas and Phoenix. Thousands of girls and boys have been empowered to the positive message that is shared through their experiences in Sports.

Anna is a clinician who specializes in teaching the details and fundamentals of the game. In addition she makes numerous appearances at schools, churches and for charities. Her road to success has been well chronicled in a new book called "Inspiring Women of the WNBA" and in newspaper and magazine articles. Currently Anna is in Krakow, Poland in her off season competing in the Euro league for Wisla Can-Pack.
